He has a large number of well-known books, scientific articles, novels and stories in the field of archaeology internationally and locally.

عالم آثار وروائي وكاتب مصري، حاصل على درجة الليسانس في الآثار المصرية القديمة من كلية الآثار بجامعة القاهرة، ودرجتي الماجستير والدكتوراه في الآثار المصرية القديمة وتاريخ وآثار الشرق الأدنى القديم في جامعة جونز هوبكنز بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، يشغل الآن منصب مدير متحف الآثار بجامعة الأسكندرية، والمشرف على مركز الدكتور زاهي حواس للمصريات بمكتبة الإسكندرية. وله عدد كبير من الكتب والمقالات العلمية والروايات والقصص المشهورة في مجال الآثار عالميًا ومحليًا.
