إبراهيم زيدان هو مؤرخ وأكاديمي بارز، متخصص في التاريخ الإسلامي والعربي. وُلد في القاهرة عام ١٩٥٠م، وتلقى تعليمه في جامعة القاهرة حيث حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في التاريخ، ثم أكمل دراسته العليا حاصلاً على الماجستير والدكتوراه في التاريخ الإسلامي. عمل إبراهيم زيدان كأستاذ في العديد من الجامعات المرموقة، ونشر العديد من البحوث والمقالات العلمية التي تركز على فترات محورية في التاريخ العربي والإسلامي. كما شارك في العديد من المؤتمرات الدولية كمحاضر وخبير في شؤون التاريخ الإسلامي. يُعتبر زيدان من الأصوات الأكاديمية الفاعلة في تحليل التاريخ العربي والإسلامي بطرق تجديدية تهدف إلى إعادة قراءة التاريخ بمنظور علمي معاصر.
